Hi all,

This Beocord 1900 has been sitting for a lot of years and now there is no movement at all in fast forward or reverse or play....

Can anyone advice if this problem comes from a belt and how to replace it or if it is coming from a rubber solid circular piece that is impossible to find?

This equipment is so delicate that I don't want to try to open it as I would with any other equipment without knowing in advance how to do it properly to avoid braking it :)

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi there

It will need new belts -I think ot has two. You'll have to open it, unless you know somebody who dare to open it.
It is not that difficult. I think you only need to remove the bottom-plate...You can see where the screws are.
The old belts have probably dissolved into some Black, sticky "goo" that needs to be cleaned off, before mounting new belts.

And when you order belts, make sure to get correct ones.
Two slightly different drives were used in Beocord 1900 and they don't share belts.
But check first if the motor runs at all.
