Hello,
I have a question regarding audio for my beovision1. I have searched a lot on google etc but I havent found a solution.
I recently bought a beovision1 after my old mx7000 broke due to a lightning. Now, Im trying to connect my MBP (late 2009) to my TV. I have bought the following cables: hdmi-scart adapter, hdmi cable and mini dvi-hdmi cable. The picture works great but not the sound, which is due to my old MPB, my mini-dvi port doesnt support audio but only video.
So I went to the store and bought a 3,5mm to black/red rc-cable (http://www.kjell.com/image/Product_130399942543774576/product/1/anslutningskabel-0-5-m-svart), which I connected to the front on the tv, but it didnt work. Can someone please help me?
I will eventually buy an ATV and use that instead, but for now I really want to get the sound to work. On my old mx7000 I just connected a 3,5mm cable from my computer/iphone to the tv and it worked perfect.
thanks!
Just a guess.
I think the TV expect Audio and Video from the SCART input, while the L and R input connectors in the front are for a different source (you probably have a yellow connector in the front panel, for video). I doubt you can tell the TV to get the video signal from the SCART and the audio signal from the front connector..
I think you would need some kind of adapter/cable to redirect the audio output of your Mac to the SCART...
Or use the front panel but you will need to convert the Mini-DVI video signal to analogue (yellow "video" socket) (page 34 of this: http://www2.aerne.com/Public/dok-sw.nsf/0c6187bc750a16fcc1256e3c005a9740/14999f493aa2d7c5c1256e4500727d4d/$FILE/3508303_BV1LS_E.pdf)

Thanks for the answer!
I will use my MBP:s speakers for now.
