Hi guys!

So i am looking for a new television but i find it difficult to get everything working as i think it's supposed to.

I have: Beogram 7000 + Beomaster 6500 + CX100+Cona
I  am looking at: Beoplay V1 / Beovision 11.

Problem:
There is no Datalink in V1 / 11!

Possible solution A: Lineout of Television to Beomaster
Possible solution B: Lineout of Beomaster to Television
Problem: Something with using one Beo4 to turn on television and sound at the same time?

Possible solution C: Converting NL to ML to MCL ?!
Seems like a lot of conversion
Possible solution D: Using one of the Powerlink switches and converting to active speakers

But maybe:
Selling the 6500 and buying a Beosound 3000 which sports a Masterlink port. Then i would "only" have to convert from NL to ML and active speakers.
Problem: It seems expensive and i'm not 100% sure that it would work with no problems.

The number one reason to buyin a B&O television besides the quality i love from my stereo is that i can use only one remote for everything and the PUC systems as i need to use a STB to watch tv.

Does anybody in here have some kind of experince with keeping a Beogram (and the remotecontrol of one) with a newer television?

Solution C is the right one (changing the AudioMaster to a ML-one won't help you or change anything).

Solution D could be used - if you plan to make a 5/5.1 setup in the future, I would not recommend it.

And you would have to get external BeoLab speakers right away - you can't use the speakers of the tv.

Using the NL/ML(MCL) Converter lets you focus on choosing the source via the Beo4 - no need to think of which system, you are controlling.

P.S. Theoretically you could use the analog-in (the small DIN connection) for the turntable. But usually this is not recommended due to loss of SQ. It was created for those, who still wanted a videotape-recorder (or alike) in the setup. And you would have to control the BeoGram manually.

Or get a lintronik solution and a (non B&O) tv that has audio out...if 5.1 is not an issue. You can control everything with one remote and keep your existing setup.

Living Room: Beosystem 4, Beolab 7-2 (Center), Beolab 9 (Fronts), Beolab 8000 (Rears), no Subwoofer. Screen: Sony KD-85XH9096
Dining Room: Beosound Essence MK II with Beolab 4000 on stands, fed by Amazon Echo Show 8
Home Cinema: Beosystem 4, Beolab 7-4 (Center), Beolab 1 (Fronts), Beolab 4000 (Rears). Projector: Sony VPL-HW55
Home Office: Beosystem 3, Beolab 7-4, Beolab 5000, Screen: Sony KD-55XH9005 on Beovision 7-40 stand, ML to Beosound 9000 MK3 and Beosound 5/Beomaster 5 (1 TB SSD version)
Bedroom: Sony KD-65XH9077, Beosound Essence MK II with Beolab 6002 and Beolab 11 (all white, wall-mounted)

In storage: Beolab 5000/Beomaster 5000 (1960s).

Millemissen: There is no play for Surround Sound. Solution C is the most expensive solution but if that is the only way. So be it.
Do i have to use the television for the speakers or can i keep my passive speakers on the beomaster?

You can do both!

If you have the tv and the audiosystem in seperate rooms, this would be the best.

Using both systems (with speakers) in the same room is possible, but not that easy to control.

You could - however - hook up the CX/Cona to a MCL2p (aka BeoLink Passive) amp from B&O and connect this to the tv. In this case the entire audiosystem would act as a pure source component with sound and controlling through the tv. This also gives you more possibilities, when you configure the sound options of the tv.

Another possibility (if you would want sound in another - seperate - room), is to let  the audiosystem act as source (ike described above), and use the old MCL link system with the speakers in the seperate room. These old link systems should still be available in the second hand market - and your BM6500 was made for these.

Feel free to ask for more details, if needed.

My BV11 is completely separate from my Beomaster passive system, although in my case the Beomaster is from a pre-remote control generation.

i would keep the TV separate, and programme/ option the remote for the separate control of the two systems in the same room (assuming that the latest beo remotes enable the same options as the Beo4).

Can i do some kind of option programming that supports "two seperate systems in one room".

I have read several topics and manuals about the option programming and i can't seem to break the code for if this is something for me.

Yes. Just set your audiomaster to A.OPT 1 and your BV to V.OPT 1.

Example with Beosystem 6500 as one of two audio systems in one room (copied from the forum in the past):

Set your BM6500 to A.OPT0.

Now it won`t respond to any ir commands.

Connect an MCL2A Kit (extra speaker kit) to SPEAKER2 sockets and connect your speakers (passive?!?!) to your MCL box.
Set the extra speaker kit to L.OPT4. Now you can contol your BM6500 in LINK mode, pressing for example LINK - RADIO.

This can also be programmed as a one button command to your Beo5.
