Take the speakersunits out off the tv and use the active filters with amplifiers also.

were you asking this for any particular reason? I'm going to be breaking an Avant soon for disposal so if you want anything, just let me know. Even though it's a great TV, there is no demand for CRT's anymore.

What is wrong with it? Is it just the demand is so low or is it faulty?

Hi Ben,
I have 2 Avants which we no longer use and as CRT's are no longer desirable in France and I haven't got the space to store them, one of them at least needs to go (Jacques 'Chartz' has the option on one of them or an AV9000). There is nothing wrong with it. We've been using it recently until it was displaced by a reshuffle of BV5 and BV7-55. If someone here needs parts etc I'm happy to break it rather than just take it to the tip.
