Hi all
I recently both the following setup:
I was reading through the forum on above topic, and found some useful information:
Below are my questions for clarification:
Will really appreciate your answers.

Type 9414 is a mk2 version of the BS2, if I'm remember correct. It can be checked in the servicemenu. With software 13.x or higher, it can be upgraded to 16.3 software.
Software 16.3 is only needed for the BS2. With use of a D7 panel, you also "need"to flash the panel itself. It will work without, but if it's a B&O panel, you should flash the panel also.
The software is needed to tell the system that when using the DVI module, the video handling by the BS2 will bypassed by the DVI module in the panel itself. That means that the source (and only just 1 source) will be connected to that module. Sound will still be handled by the BS2.
BS2 , mk3 -4 has a VGI input. But that just a analog input for VGA signals without Vesa support, like the Beomedia.
Hi Beobuddy
Thanks a lot for that:
My Beosystem has 14.2 software so that is a good news.
Still few questions, maybe you know:
Really appriciate your help. Thanks a lot!
First boolet I got answered, my panel is D7. Also I found out that flashing panel is needed only if I want to control input device from BeoSystem.
Any idea on DVI module compatibility and some how too on software update of BeoSystem?

HDCP...
According to below that should be possible and that is my expectation, but personally I have no clue as just trying to make all things work:
http://bogo.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2646/~/which-bang-%26-olufsen-televisions-qualify-as-hd-ready%3F
"All Bang & Olufsen televisions which qualify as HD ready, can decode HDC"
@Beobuddy
As above information valid source?
I called B&O and they told me software costs 62CHF (I live in Switzerland) with work it would be 150CHF. So just last bit of the story to confirm:
Got update from the service and there is what they say:
"we also have to change an IC art no 8344288 on Position 06IC3 in the BSY 2".
Can you comment on that? Is that really required for my Boesystem 2 Type 9414?
Regards,
Hi All
I have managed to finally setup everything and enjoy HD input. The only thing that is outstanding for me is control of the picture (color, brightness, etc) for DVI delivered signal. Looks like I cannot access menu at all when using DVI source, also setting done on TV does no have any effect. Any idea? I am not sure if B&O flashed my panel when DVI was put into my Beovision.
Hello,
I would like to know the value of the geometry adjustements in the monitor service menu for your bv4-42, I just find in service manual for bigger one but not to configure my installation.
Thanks a lot.
