Gave my son an A2 this week and he's thrilled with it.  However, he wants to take it to a music festival and use it whilst there.  Has anyone tried charging one via a car 12V outlet or something similar?  We want to find a way for him to charge it when he's away from home.

Any ideas?  B&O don't sanction anything not specified in the user manual - we've tried them but there must be an easy way to do this.

Tell him to bring the charger. There are usually electrical outlets you can borrow. Kids don´t go anywhere these days where you are not able to charge your phone Stick out tongue

Charging it via 12v will take to long, and it would probably require the car to be running in order not to drain the battery.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

Having been to some British music festivals over the last couple of years I would say this is absolutely right. There are usually charging points where you can lock the device up for a few hours where it charges.

Doesn't cost too much and saves a lot of time/hassle!

Yes, he's actually going back to the Farr Fest.  Named after myself of course!  I'll remind him to look for some power points.

I think you are very brave letting him take it to a festival... And he can't be anything like my some who borrowed my portable player (non b&o before A 2 released) and it's been lost... "I can't remember what I've done with it".... "I've got the career for it though" Super Angry

The A2 was a gift to him so what he does with it is up to him.  He's a sensible PhD student and Farr Fest isn't too raucus (I don't think!).  I don't loan out my B&O stuff.

Thanks. The tool for me to charge out of home is bestek 400w power inverter. Since I need to charge camera and laptop when travelling around the city. This tool is easy to handle, just connect it with car cigarette lighter charger outlet. Then we can charge in safe way. You can catch more information on Bestekmall. Wish this point is helpful to you. Have a nice day.
