This is the second Archived Forum which was active between 1st March 2012 and 23rd February 2022
Hi all,
has the novelty worn off? I have struggled to reply to any topic as there is nothing new to chat about!
I believe so - apparently nobody finds any problems any more!
EDIT: I even started to live dangerously, and didn't copy before posting... and it worked

Sorry - late for the party or not attending at all, as usual.
I've no idea what we're going to talk about once the forum works perfectly.. Should we start a few threads about that Bangy & Olson stuff, or whatever it's called..
Hey! I started two threads!
EDIT
And keep checking the edit function!
EDIT the EDIT
Edit check passes!
And I keep peaking in every day to both this and the live forum!
It's a bit quiet on the old forum as well. I hope it's just the time of the year although I don't post very much 'cos I'm fed up with trying to post and getting told that the forum is not available.
Regards Graham
Everybody is waiting for the new forum, and yes its quiet over there and here, last year the same on the old forum.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Quiet please.....
For some reason it is NOT quiet in my INBOX in the last two weeks I have had more technical requests by e-mail than at any previous time..
Regards Keith....
Don't worry about it Keith open the whisky, that usually solves all my probs immeadiately, however they do return later so its maybe not such a good idea!!

Nick:I have struggled to reply to any topic as there is nothing new to chat about!
Even though I am here infrequently due to my lack of spare time, I find little material to talk about. Except this new topic at hand... LOL
Beo4 'til I die!
Only meee, I'm all alone in here. only meee
I see the outsourced topic is still going over on the old forum!!

There is a nice pair of M70's that need refurb and/or a good home!!
I just finished a Dark Side project - refoamed my wife's boss's Boston Acoustic T1030s. Four eight inch polypropylene woofers. Piece of cake.
My first experience with refoaming polypropylene cones. SO MUCH easier, quicker, and cleaner than paper cones.
Waiting to find a BM 5000 and then has the whole system to do, waiting for caps for my Bvox 3702, has to find failure in remote section on BM 2400. has to change 6 presets in BM 4000, has to re glue several grill fabrics, used DB tape, and now the fabric comes of, will try Arleenes or Gorilla glue.
Søren Mexico: re glue several grill fabrics, used DB tape, and now the fabric comes of, will try Arleenes or Gorilla glue.

I use this. I used this adhesive spray first on my S45-2s about 19 months ago. No sign of a loss of adhesion as yet. I've since used it on three more pairs of speakers to fine results.
Full procedure more or less documented in here.
Ok guys - point taken, I'm living in an alter universe thinking everything was finished - dohhhhh silly me!!

As an owner of vintage B&O, You should know it by now: NEVER use DB tape Just think of all the glass panels that has fallen off The 3500/4500 systems and BC 9x00 series. Not to mention the aluminum plates on the Beograms 6000/8000 series.

Blame on Leslie, he did it too, but never told me it will come off again
It is pretty quiet here... But I can't say I'm too active.
Too long to list....
