Hi whereabouts and which are the transport screws on my 1981 Beocenter 7000 and how tight do they have to be? Cheers Phil

The three screws are under the turn table. Lift the turn table off Leaving the big plastic disk in the middle. Turn the screws up for transporting and flush with deck for playing. the screws should not be very tight, just enough so they will not move with vibration, screws can be turned with a coin if need be. This is nearly the same set as the 7002. It may be useful for you to read the thread on this forum Beocenter 70002 tone arm problem.

Thanks for that the reason I'm asking is when I play a record and turn up the volume there is a terrible rumbling through the speakers turn down the volume and it goes.  Any ideas?

Sounds like you have just tightened the screws to the transport position. They need to be loosened to play position.
