Beo5/6 and the new Avant

Hi all . Have just got my new Avant 55 and wondered if my Beo 5 or 6 can be programmed to for this new Avant , like the new remote that came with the Tv but old problem difficult to use in the dark and even if you can remember the button layout it's not easy to find a particular button by feel , so getting earache from the wife on the subject , she doesn’t appreciate that things of beauty also have warts . You could always just put the Avant in beo 4 mode.

Hi . Did'nt think or know that , wife is used to a Beo4 so from that information my Beo5 or 6 will work it as well. Got the new remote a while back and tryed to make it work my Bv7 mk3 but no luck , thought I had set it for a 7 but gave up and put it to one side till I got the Avant but when th Avant arrived it would'nt switch on and thought a problem with the Tv but after a day found out it was the remote ,  a factory re-set it then worked .

With regards to the Beo6, is two way enabled for all NL products or is it an eventual roll out? Avant, BV11, Moment, etc?

Two way has only ever been available for the BS5/BM5 combo. There is no further development in the Beo 6. It is discontinued and will only ever get configuration tool updates to support future products IR protocols etc. I would be surprised if that continues past the next few years as supported from DK.
