Hi

Is there different version of beoplay v1?

Will it be discontinued soon?

Do you think it is a good choice for a sleeping room?

Thanks

1: not 'versions', unless you differ between the 32" and the 40" - but there were different displays used over time.

In another thread 3 were mentioned (if I remember right).

And the software was updated several times - but different versions: no!

2: the 32" has been discontinued, and the 40" is going to be (as far as I know it is not yet, officially).

3: I think it is an excellent choice for a sleeping room/second room tv.

I am sure many V1 owners will agree on that.

Depending on your location, you might even get hands on a 32" one (if that is what you prefer).

That is a really good question!

Personally I think: nothing!

But it seems that there will be a new tv of some kind later this year.

I have a couple v1s. Both a 32 and a 40.

They are very nice panels.

And have basically the full beosystem 4 within.

I use one in the master bag and one in the master bath.

Good luck finding a 32 though.

My local dealer told me they get people every week asking for 32" V1 , but they are discontinued due to lack of panels.

Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8 , MX 5500 .

They rolled out the same excuse for the 40 inch being phased out. And yet I bought a brand new 40 inch UHD LG tv this very week, and it's fantastic.

Some dealers have never even sold one. Hopefully there will be a replacement soon.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I don't really think anything....

....but if I was to decide for B&O, I would not put a tv in the BeoPlay range anymore.

I'd launch a BeoVision with a pricetag below the Avant Smile

Why lack of panels??? LG, Panasonic, SONY, Samsung, Toshiba all sell 32" TVs. Think there's some dealer embarrassment there or just sales fibs!

I dont know who started the rumour about the V1 40" being phased out. The 32" was stopped because of lack of panels. The 40" is still on sale and still appears in the newest price lists.

All TVs are phased out at some point. Starting a rumor about the 40" when the time frame is unknown is just silly!

With that being said I think it would be a mistake to stop making a Beoplay TV. The only reason I've started buying some B&O products (i.e. not Beoplay) is because of my TV. The importent thing here is that the V1 is a scaled down Beovision. It's very important that the Beosys 4 is included. I think it was a wise decision to cut extra features like recording, 360 light sensor, 3D, scale down on speaker outputs etc. It gives the user a perfect glimps of what a real Beovision is capable of. And that is what Beoplay is all about. Attracting people to the B&O brand.

Beovision Eclipse gen2 (GX) w/ floorstand, Beolab 14.2, 4 speaker Shape and ATV4/Chromecast.

Beoplay A9mk4 GVA, Beosound 1 GVA, H2, H3, H8, E6, Beoplay EQ

I agree Mikael.

I look forward to seeing a BeoPlay TV just to see if/hoe they stretch the design boundaries again.
