Hi everybody
Could anyone provide information about the cueing arm for Beogram 1202? I would really appreciate if someone posted some pictures how the arm looks like, lengths, bends, material, ...
Mine came without the arm and as a result the platter does not stop and the stylus remains lowered after the record ends.
I was hoping I could reproduce the cueing arm and hopefully fix that. The part number in the service manual is 141. Here’s also a snapshot from the service manual.
Thanks

Just bumping the thread in hope that someone, somewhere could provide this info.

I kinda gave up on finding a replacement part so I have decided to try to recreate the cueuing arm.

I think that besided 1202 valid reference models are also 1203 and 3000. I'm not entirely sure about the 1200 but any information is welcome!

There's a curious spring attached to the hole where the cueuing arm should be. Anyone has any ideas if it should be there? Søren maybe?

Here's the pic of the mysterious spring:

Lets see if somebody comes up with help, if not I can open mine next weekend, the spring in your pick is connected to the muting switch and normally not needed.

Hello everybody!

Long time no see.

In the past two weeks I finally mustered the courage and start working on a DIY cueuing arm. All I had to work with was a few low resolution photos from the internet and that was it. This is how my first take looked like:

The first iteration was somewhat successful but it turned out that the curved bits were causing too much friction. I tried fixing it, but I ended up creating a second cueuing arm with the things I learned with the first one in mind. The second attempt does not look that different than the first one, just a bit more precisely bended so that it causes less friction. I do not have a photo of a second attempt since it's in the turntable at the moment.

Here is a short video of how the auto stop and auto return functions work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLPAZ31ny8Q

As you can see from the video, the auto return function is still not perfect. The one thing I’m concerned about the most is the fact, that when the arm hits the label’s proximity, the stylus is first moved back a bit towards the groove and then the arm lifting sequence engages. I’ve tried to resolve this problem but unfortunately I wasn't successful. Does anyone have an idea how bad this backward movement is for the stylus itself? Would it be really bad if I kept it that way? Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I know I’m sailing deep in the uncharted territory but hopefully someone will have an idea or maybe know someone that could know a thing or two about this topic :)

Best regards,

Casper

The spring is definitely wrong. Did it play a record when it was in the state seen in the first colored picture? If so, you will be missing another spring. First pic at the right side of number 155 I think.
