Hello all

Today I got a used Beovision 7-55 Mk2. I have some observations and questions

When swapping my 7-40 to the 7-55 the gateway must automatically update itself as my macros for light commands started working again.

The puc for sky hd seems to be a little crazy, when you scroll up one press at s time it's fine but if you press twice in a row it seems to jump about 10 lines on the sky box.

In the service menu under HW there is a part that says Socket Panel this says unknown what should it say? Or is unknown fine?

My link TV's are not working as they were, now they come on and have sound for a second or so and sound goes away, if I toggle from to DTV sound comes back for a few seconds and then goes again. I can force sound to come through by selecting AV DTV and I assume this pulls sound over ML rather than over the modulator. I changed the modulator channel and that does not fix anything. This happens on all my link tv's

When I go to select speaker roles I get front left and right, right and left surround and rear centre but not the options I had on 7-40 which I believe was rear surround and rear speakers for full 7.1

Any thoughts all?

Well done on getting a 7-55.  Awesome TV!

Have you tried the speaker roles with the AST on, or off?

Exactly where did you find the 'HW' info?  I found something similar on mine and there were 2 items listed but not titled 'socket panel'.  Maybe version differences between yours and mine?

What option setting is the BV7 in?  Maybe the other TV's are competing to be 'master'.

It took me ages to get mine fullt set-up and then I went and changed speakers, added a BL2, moved the TV etc so had to do a lot all over again!

There are some quirks with this TV's operation.  Like when watching a DVD - if I pause it, I have to use the yellow arrow key followed by 'go' to restart it.  I can't find another way that works!

Dave.

Hello Dave,

if you use a Beo4 with navi button you don't need the yelloe arrow key anymore.

Hello Seanie,

if I would get a used BV 7-55 Mk 2 first of all I would start a reset to factory settings in the service menue.

Check also if installed software version is the latest: BUILD 1112

BTW: SOCKET PANEL = UNKNOWN is correct.

I've already got 7 BEO4's.  Not with a navi button though.  I can live with pushing two buttons for now.

Hi there

Thanks for the clarification on the socket panel.

The TV is at build 1112

I might try another av port for the SD dist and see if it makes a difference.

Just been around to both link TV's and confirmed option 6.

If I press DTV I get sound and picture for about two seconds and it goes along with the picture jumping to another position. If I toggle from DTV to TV and then back to DTV I get sound and picture for two seconds and it goes again.

Any thoughts?

Hi there

A

Beovision 3-32 and 6-26

Both have the exact same issue and did not before when using the 7-40 as the master.

Pressing av DTV pulls the sound in via ml so the connection is there

Hi Seanie,

I have a BV 10 in linkroom. With BV 7-40 Mk6 in mainroom the trick is:

press MENU on Beo4 (in linkroom)

OPTIONS

CONNECTIONS

LINK-TUNING

set TV-SYSTEM to 'B/G' (not 'I'; with 'I' I can't get also no sound from BV 7 on BV 10)

Hope this helps.

Hi there

My beovision 3 and 6 don't have the option for that

But we may be closer. My TV is from France so is there a change that might need to be made on the modulator on the beovision 7-55?

Hi there

I have plugged back in my 7-40 and link room functions work perfectly again.

I have checked the link room tv's setup and they are all fine.

Maybe the modulator is different from a TV from france ???

I'm keeping the 55 just need my link rooms to work.

Sky HD PUC is a little haywire too. Pressing up on the beo4 or beolink app once is fine but if I press twice the reaction on the sky box is it jumps up loads of times.

This may be normal.  I have a STB that will do similar - 1 push and 1 channel up or down, double fast button push = 10 stations up or down for faster searching through many channels.

Hope you get it all sorted out and can enjoy your TV.

Dave.

Thank you

I could not find the setting on link tv's but I found it on my main TV.

I believe these are the transmission settings for different countries.
