Hi

I am getting annoyed of my Avant constantly turning on/off speakers as soon as I switch source. Going from a movie on the TV tuner to Apple TV results in four loud clicks and having to press List, navigate down to speakers and press 1, or 3 or whatever. Resulting in a loud "bopp" in my Bl9's and clicks in my BL8000 again. (At least if I want to use another sound mode than I programmed in to the TV. Which I probably will depending on the time of day and choice of movie).

Am I really the only one who wants to turn

The TV on and make it possible to NOT have the TV change sound mode when you change source?

What are your thoughts? Smile

Didn't you already have a thread with that question?

Oh perhaps I did. I remembered it as I was talking about it in another thread but sorry if I created yet another one. I still want to change the way it works but I'm getting the feeling it won't change.

That is fully legal - and it is a good question anyway.

I'll try to find that thread again - whether it was yours or not - because there were already some comments made on that at that time.

It was this thread, that I thought of:

http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/13747/119972.aspx#119972

or is your question above a different one?

irrespective of it being in an older thread, the issue still remains that

Michael wants the ability to change the input and for the Avant to not change to the default speaker group assigned to that input.

Like for example if you are using a 'ordinary' TV with an AV receiver if you change the input it keeps the last speaker group you changed to.

He may be sitting on his couch and has his late night TV speaker group, ie the rears as fronts, and then changes the input it then changes the speaker group which he doesn't want. He wants to keep the one he already has changed to.

I do understand, what Michael is aiming at - so far no solution for it.

I just wanted that 'new readers' should be able to read the comments, that were already made.
