Beovision 11 best bass setting

Hi All,  Newcomer and enjoying reading this forum.

I have been a long term fan and recently bought a BV11, I also purchased some used Beolab 8000 and together with my old beolab 6000 to set up my first TV with surround sound.

I used to have the old Avant and I am missing the large cabinet only for the bass it produced.

After reading KMA's notes on the amazing sound settings, I am wondering if anyone has found a really good custom setting for the best bass setting?  (with out a sub)

Also is it possible to turn of adaptive sound as this changes ?

I think a sub would be the best solution, however I am struggling to find a great solution with the combination I have at the moment.  Maybe I am missing something in the technical guide.
