Hi, can anyone tell me what the 4 pin DIN plug that is plugged into the Aux in/out socket at back of my BS7007 stereo does? When I remove it or insert a 7 pin DIN plug into it the stereo mutes and I would like to use this socket to insert a Bluetooth wireless receiver.

It's a preamplifier (line in/out level) breakout.
The plug is just a loop connecting the outputs to the inputs.

Ah ok, makes sense. So do I need a lead which exactly matches this 4 pin din) with a 3mm jack at the other end (to plug into my audio receiver)?

A standard 5-pin DIN will fit nicely. Make sure the lead connects to the input pins.
You can also use the Tape input - it will allow you to hear radio and play records without unplugging the external device and
re-inserting the loop plug.

Right ok, so is the Tape input the 4 X RCA at the back? If so will a RCA to 3mm jack lead be ok?
