Hi

I have a question. So i have connected my beosystem 2500 to my beovision 3. This works perfectly but now i want to connect an aux input for my computer. i have connect my audio source to my v.tape input on the beovision an it works great. So here my question it my sound a bit stupid but can you connect my computer to the powerlinkport on the 1611 or does it do somthing completly different because the problem i have now is that my tv screen has to be turned on everytime i want my computer to come through the speakers. I want to save my tv's tube lifetime. So if i could connect it in some other that my tv's tube doens't have to be turned on it would be awesome !!

Sorry for the bad English i speak dutch

Some TV's have the 'P Mute' or picture mute available via the remote.  You could try that.  I think it depends on the BEO4 you have and you may have to 'add' it to your list.

Hi,

the powerlink connector of the BeoLink 1611 is only needed to signal the beovision in your setup when you operate the BeoSound 2500 local at the keyboard.

To get the sound from your 'V-Tape' Audio Device you can add the Function 'A-VTAPE' which is AV V-Tape. Using the Button #List' on your Beo 4 shows then the added 'key' and by pressing 'ok' you select the audio input of V-TAPE giving the sound from the attached device

The picture tube won't be activated then, just the BeoVison 3 speakers are used..
