On the Beoplay website it says for the V1

IN THE BOX = Beoplay V1, Beo4 Remote, Low floor stand, Manual.

So hopefully you should get that Beo4 included in the price when you go back to the store!

Does pressing "GO" enter the PIN? Or Maybe "GO" + "GO"

PS - Just had a quick look again at my Beo4 and you can "ADD" a button called "SELECT" to the list of soft buttons, so maybe if you add that button, put in the PIN, bring up "SELECT" in the list and press "GO" that might work.

That must be so annoying :o(

a search on the B&O site says

I cannot use my Beo4 to operate BeoPlay V1, why?

If you use a Beo4 remote control without navigation button it is not possible to operate your BeoPlay v1. Only a Beo4 remote control with navigation can be used.

If you cannot navigate in menus with your Beo4 remote control with navigation button, you must check that your Beo4 is in MODE 1.

So it looks like you have to wait.

Hi Everybody !

I've replaced my Beovision 8-32.

I'm playing with my new V1 sinds two weeks now.

Here are my first impressions :

INSTALLATION

Very easy ! Wifi connected, PUC downloaded. Works fine !

I've connected a STB and a Playstation 3.

PICTURES :

With the STB :

SD is great but was better on BV8-32 ( may be it's the screen size? )

HD is VERY BEAUTIFULL ! ( you can see a pictures of HD in the flash your b&o tread )

With the PS3 :

I just try a game (in game mode), Looks very good and no lag for me..

Movie (in movie mode), WAOW ! Looks very detailled and the black is fantastic !

SOUND

Here i'm confused. I don't really know if it's good or very good. On the BV8-32 sound was more...agressive.

Now it's clean but there's no bass. I think this tv must be incredible with beolabs connected and the speakers from the v1 as Center.

New to B&O -> MEDIA ACCES :

I have acces to my computer with PS3 media server to music, pictures and movies.

And I must say that it works very well ! I play a HD movie(MKV) and I had no Lag, no difference between picture and sound.

Music is also fin, but I still love my Beosound 5 encore.

My CONCLUSION :

Positive :

  • Great Look ( for me)
  • Easy to use
  • HD pictures
  • MENU
  • MEDIA dlna
  • BEO4 included
  • BEO Curtain

Negative :

  • Not easy to connect old stuff or no-hdmi stuff ( nintendo WII)
  • Only BEO4 navigation works with this tv

I'm verry happy and I love it.It's not a Beovision 10 but for the price it's a really great television.

It's a BEOPLAY product, don't forget it ;-)

It's the ideal solution for me.

If somoene have any idea to connect the ENCORE on the tv or the BEOLAB 4000 on the tv AND the Encore please tell me. I'm sure that there's a solution.

And I don't know which cable I must use to connect the nintendo WII.

Thanks for your review - I am glad you are happy with your choice.

Good to hear that the PS3 blu-ray worked well - I think you are going to have to buy more speakers and get the 5.1 going ! Perhaps a Beolab 11 is going to have to be first to fix the bass (that difference between the BV8-32 and V1-32 surprised me).

Good luck with the answers to your questions

Hi Shinobi,

I also have the new V1. I have the white 40" and you too right? I think the sound is very good, crisp and clear with good bass-sound. However not to deep everytime. I have not yet started playing with the settings, the tv is still on DRAMA, or MOVIE (dont remember) but sometimes the bass is very very good. I think it is a setting to get it to play very good.

I was thinking about buying a BL11 to go with it but I would prefer a cleaner look and I don't think it is really necessary in my bedroom. And not sure how it would look together with the TV. Would probably have to hide it a bit from the tv
