Hi I currently use a MX6000 with dvd1 on a motorised stand, just wondering if I change MX6000 for MX8000 will stand still do for the new MX8000?
'fraid not Jonnie!
It will physically fit just fine but electronically they are quite different.
To prevent you even trying you will find that your plug on the stand has 4 pins but the socket on the MX8000 has 5 holes.
(or vice versa!!! It's my age, y'know)
Regards Graham
thanks for that , really annoying different stand I believe there is a conversion kit but too much trouble !Also will a beovision1 with built in dvd be less bulky than the mx6000 on floor stand the reason I ask is we currently have mx6000 with dvd on motorised floor stand just wondering may be better to replace with beovision1 with table as this already has motorised stand and built in dvd but worried about size ?
Sorry meant to say beocentre1
MX6000 and 8000 stand motors are different electronically but interchangeable physically
Beocenter/Beovision 1 are 25inch sets and MX6000 is a 28 inch set so the former will look less bulky, I suppose. Not sure that the comparison is valid!
Cheers for that gonna stick with the mx6000 it is in my boys nursery and pretty big and solid and has dvd 1 with it which he can operate with his fingers !was only going to change to rig up a set top box but for now its ok for his dvds
Cheers !!
