I have had my PS4 connected to my BV7-40 mk2, and had no problems with it.

Today I did a reset of the BV7, since I had some issues with speakers.

Now I cannot get a picture from the PS4 anymore. If I connect my ATV3 I get picture without a problem. I even took the PS4 to my neighbour to set it to 720, but still no luck.

Any suggestions? I think it is very strange that it doesnt accept the PS4 when it accepts the ATV3.

THe settings are DTV-A1 (dvi-input). Even tried with v.mem, but still no luck.

Had the same problem with a PS3 and a BV7-40 MK2.

Everything worked fine until that one day when I did a factory reset.
All other devices (ATV2 + STB) connected via a HDMI switch worked flawlessly. Only the PS3 never showed a picture on that TV again.
I tried at least 5 different HDMI cables with different DVI adaptors with and without the HDMI switch. No chance.
On all other TVs the PS3 worked without any problems.

Curious whether there are others with the same problem and maybe a solution...
Might be a corrupted EDID EEPROM. But why is the ATV working...?

And you never got it working again? Surprise

Maybe I should try putting my germ hdmi expander between the systems.

But I was so happy I got rid of it.

Handshake problems!

Plug it out/in a couple of times. Turn of/onthe power of the tv. Plug it out/in again.

Might some times help.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

In my case I really tried everything. Plugging in/out very often in different states of the devices. TV on / PS off / PS powercycle / TV powercycle / PS on. In a lot of combinations. Nothing helped.
I also resetted the PS3 several times and tried a special "resolution savemode".

No chance. Never got it working again on that TV! :-(

If I remember right this was the same case with my BV7.
I really hope that you are able to find a solution for your setup.

HDCP error?

Check customer service menu -> adjustment -> HDTV -> HDMI.

Tried both, HDMI and DVI mode. Nothing worked.

If I pull the hdmi cable half way out I get picture. But as soon as I start running a game or spotify, screen goes black.

Considering my ATV3 works, this seems to be an issue with the hdmi port of the ps4? What do you guys think?

I don't find hdmi adjustments. There is something about hdmi/Devi under Ml gateway?

Changing to hdcp-hdmi gave me picture.

Now I don't know if I date to turn it off :P Stick out tongue

I'll post in a few days if the problem is gone.

Maybe someone should try their PS3 again Whistle

Glad that you found a solution for your problem.

I changed this setting several times without any improvement.
Finally gave up as I didn't longer need the PS3 at this TV.

BR,

After a long time I finally found a solution for my problem!
It was indeed a corrupted EDID EEPROM.
