Hi,

I'm looking for the azimuth tape that originally came with the Beocord 9000.

Can anybody help?

If for completeness and collecting then of course go ahead and see if you can find one, - just don't think it will be of much practical use, the few ones I've seen were all pretty much useless due to aging etc. It could also be difficult to find one. Most are long gone - maybe for the above reason. Martin

I've seen a few on ePay going for silly prices. Find a well-aligned machine and use a tape recorded on this one.

Or go there.

I can get an alignment tape made for about £40 in the UK but it seems very expensive for what it is. Has anyone on here for a fully aligned tape deck that would be prepared to make one? I've got a TDK metal cassette that could be used. And I'll pay for your time.

Back when I used to buy stuff on fleaBay, I would just put in the absolute maximum bid I would have wanted to pay. Then after the bidding ends, you get an email on whether you won or not, and the final price that never exceeds the limit. No worries about sniping, or anything really.

Happened to all of us sadly! As Mika said it is always good to have a firm figure in your mind that would be the maximum you wish to pay. Then it is less disappointing if you don't get it!

That makes 2 of us lee,

I'm now after one myself after my successful restoration of my beocord 9000 just completed last night, every cap ,belt ,led and pinch roller, to complete my complete 8000 system, sounds incredible , trying to decide if I add a beocord 8004 or another 9000 as tape2

cant wish you good luck as I hope to beat you to finding the tape😄

Congratulations on your restoration Jason.

How difficult was it to change the pinch roller?

Easy peasy to do the pinch rollers, worth doing while Martin has them

I decided to keep onto the restored 8004 for tape2 as I still adore the machine and it's a great excuse to keep both
