Hello!

Im going to use beolab 15 with Avant via Amplifier 1. Is it possible to connect Amplifier1 to Transmitter 1(maybe with essence?) to use beolab 15 with iphone/ipad and not to turn avant on?

Sorry that I do not understand.

I have never heard of an amplifier 1.

Transmitter 1 yes.

Receiver 1 yes.

BeoNut since '75

The Amplifier 1 is the control amp, that you use with the BeoLab 15/16 set.

But I must admit, that I don't understand the question either!

The intension - probably - is to use the Receiver 1 in order to skip the PL cable from the Avant to the speakers - using WiSA???

The other part - probably/maybe - is, whether you (this way) can connect an external device (e.g. an iPhone) directly in order to let the Avant stay in standby and have sound from the BL15/16.

This is not possible, since the Amplifier 1 has no input connection for an external device - and you would not be able to control the volumen of the BL15/16 either.

But I am not quite sure, whether this is meant - or something else???

P.S. There is no need for a Transmitter 1 with the (new) Avant, since it is already built in there.

P.P.S. To the (external) Transmitter you can either connect the PL-outs from a B&O-tv (or e.g. the Essence) or an external device - not both at the same time.

Thank you, MM

The idea to use Beolab 15 with avant and when needed to use 15 with iphone/beosound moment/etc.

As I understood i can use moment with avant but that way screen turns on.

Can't you just then use 'p-mute' to turn the picture off?  It would be a cheaper option if it's possible.

Dave.

If you use the Avant and/or the connected speakers for an audio source from the BS Moment, the screen will turn on shortly.

You won't see much of it, because it dimms quickly.

If you connect an ATV (for music), you can (as Dave wrote) use P.Mute for turning off the screen any time.
