Can anyone help me by providing templates for the sliders please?  I currently have a 1900 gutted on the desk and the sliders are not so much burned as cremated. I think previous owner must have used a blowtorch on them.

I was going to scan them until I discovered there isn't enough clarity on any of the three to enable me to do that.

A newbie would very much appreciate assistance!

I don't know if these are the correct ones as I haven't checked the part numbers:

If they aren't, I apologise.  I haven't checked the part numbvers in the service manual.  You should be able to look that up.

Dave.

Thanks Dave, they are indeed the correct part number although a slightly different design. Surprised that originals still exist after this long. Extortionate carriage charges but it saves a lot of hassles trying to copy and print new ones.

That completes the list of bits for the 1900 resurrection. I can clear the desk shortly and do the 4400, at last. I owe you one!  Thanks again.

Andy

If they arez the correct ones, is there any way to get the duplicated?  I know other members have been looking for these too and more will in the future. As they are unused, they'd be ideal as they are undamaged.

Once I get my hands on them I'll look into ways of duplication and associated costs, provided they end up very good quality. As with most things it depends on demand. As far as I know they would fit the 2400 too, and I'm sure those more knowledgeable out there will be able to comment if other models share the same part. Not many reading this post at the moment!

A few years ago, there was a beoworld member that made som copies of those sliders. I think he made a drawing in a CAD program, and even made a link to the file - free to download. I will try to see, if I can find the thread. Otherwise you can try the search function on Beoworld - but there are hundreds of postings about the 1900/2400 series - so it can be a bit difficult to find. Maybe it's even in the archieved forum.

I hope that some other members remember the thread - or maybe the member who made the sliders read this...

They do fit the BM 2400 too. I had the same problem with my 1900, 2 pcs were heat damaged, but as luck will I had an extra command panel with the plastics attached and took them from there. I like these receivers  and buy them cheap when possible, and then use them for gifts when restored.

Well well - just two minutes of research, and I found this... how to make new sliders for those who want to DIY.

Hi Steffen.  That would be John Francis, a couple of years ago. I did drop him a note about the templates.  I've spent ages going through archived posts about the 1900, a BM I always liked the look of. Most of Jacob Jensen's designs do it for me and the 1900 is a pretty good period match for the BG4000. I have managed to get a hold of a good 4000 fairly cheaply, if you don't count the 1200km round trip to collect it, but will have to make a solid rosewood cab for it as I'm not keen on the teak. I've been a rosewood lover since honeymooning in Denmark in '82. Sister still lives there.
