Hi,
What do you think about using the beolab 3s as front speakers and a single beolab 12-1 as center channel. I know that probably the 12-2 would be better, but I want the center speaker to be horisontal because of the TV bench. Alternative 2: use a single beolab 3 as a center. I prefer that the speakers are wall-mounted. Or any other good suggestions?
Thanks!
Hi and welcome to Beoworld,
I'd definitely go for the (single) BL3 as a center speaker.
The BL12.1 was not made to be horizontal, and with the BL3 you would have three identical speakers.
Depending on how the R/L speakers are located, you could tilt the center-one a bit untill the sound fits you/your room.
I suppose a BL3 would be easier to find a place for there - a horizontal BL12.1 would look odd, I guess.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hi, thanks! If I go for the 12-2 as front speakers, what will you suggest as a horisontal center speaker?
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
i have seen a BL4000 as a centre speaker before
i think a BL3 as a centre would look a little different, i have seen in the past a scandyna set up with pod speakers with a pod (similar styling to a BL3) as a centre and it wasn't too bad, but something flatter looks better in most set ups
I'm not sure what TV I will use yet, but probably a 75 or 85" led. B&O TV is not an options because of the price... So I'm sure I need/want a good center speaker, thus I was thinking about using a single Beolab 12-2. I think it will look better than a single beolab 3 as a center speaker.
