Beolab penta 1 6603 bass driver replacement help!!!

I have recently came across a pair of 6603's that I would love to be using to the full extent, however it seems I have some bad drivers in the cabinet. I am planning to replace every speaker and start fresh. I have found new replacement drivers for the mids, and tweeters but the bass drivers are giving me a hard time. The problem is when I put my ohm-meter on the drivers it reads 23.2 ohms of resistance. Is this what everyone else is getting?? I would not at all be opposed to finding another speaker altogether to put in these but I can't find another speaker at 5" that comes even close to the 25ohm range. Has anyone ever tried to read the resistance of their penta 1's? Are all of mine just blown and should be more in the 4-8ohm range? If not, anyone have any replacement suggestions???

Penta drivers are always on eBay - some NOS, most used but servicable, usually only needing refoaming.

Sometimes the well known resellers such as 'Quality Dream Audio' also have them in stock.

And please do not substitute them with something "compatible" that just happens to fit the mounting holes. It'll never sound right.

Are you sure, your ohmmeter is correctly calibrated ?

The first 4 unit I have in sight, give me the following readings:22,8, 23,7, 22,6 and 22,3 Ohm.

Keep in mind that all units are placed parallel. So, the total impedance will be between  5-6 Ohm. I would strongly advise not to change them for 4-6 Ohm units. I t will affect the total performance of the Penta.

Awesome, well it's good to know not all my drivers are dead. I guess the only option is buy on eBay and hope for the best. I never had any intention of changing the system over to a different impedance, I was more or less curious as to if it was correct. Thanks a lot guys!
