Hi, I'm trying to set the stand positions for a motorised floor stand for a MX4000. When I press Menu on my Beo4 I only get two options - Program List & Set Up. When I push set up there is no option for stand? I can get the stand to move by pressing list until stand is on the Beo4 remote display and then using arrow keys to move but cannot set off and on position?

In case you didn't already try... the stand needs to be connected to the the TV while the TV is unplugged from mains.

... But depending on SW Level you don't have any stand option in menu.

For turning the TV left or right press PICTURE < or > on a Beolink 1000. To store the defined position press PICTURE STORE STORE.

This is what works on my MX4000 with SW 1.0. The MX4000 with SW 4.7 has got the stand option in menu.

Oh yes, you're right Martin.

On the other hand, the later models that came with Beo4 software won't respond to the PICTURE commands. On them, you have to store the position via the menu.

So I guess the stand is working as it should, but it might be impossible to store the preferred position with a Beo4 - it can't send the PICTURE command.

Could be the cause. That's why I always have a Beolink 1000 for my older equipment Big Smile

It is generally a good idea. Smile

Also, forgot to mention that the off position can't be set anyway; it's always in the middle. It might be possible to install the motor mechanically offset, but I was never interested enough to find out.

Martin, Mika,

Thanks for your help. I'll get a Beolink 1000.

You should be able to confirm this by checking the software version of the TV. It should be written on the type sticker on the back: "SW x.x". If it's 1.something, you definitely have a version designed for a Beolink 1000.
