i see a firmware update was releases in April for the beoplay A9. Version 3512. (This is for the first generation A9) Anyone know what the update fixes or adds in terms of functionality? I don't understand why there never is any information accompanying the updates!
The last update added Spotify which I never would have know if it wasn't mentioned here!
BeoVision 11-55, BeoCenter 2, BeoLab 9s, BeoLab 3s, Beo4/5/6, BeoRemote One, BLGW, Transmitter 1, BeoLit 12, A8, H6, H8
If you would like a more detailed technical response - it fixes this....

Once upgraded it would be good to hear if anyone experiences any other changes. I'm hoping they also included a fix for the SSL bug that I mentioned in the other forum post, but I have yet to test.
I will follow it up and post back.
Still accepting SSL 3.0 which is a no no these days however as these devices are seldom accessible from the internet and only reside on home LANs behind a NAT I expect B&O have this as a low priority.
If anyone wants the results of a Nessus scan on the A9 rev1, drop me a PM.
Cheers

My A9 MKI is still running version 2987 and for some unknown reason both the mac Bonjour page and the Beosetup claims my software is up to date, and can't seem to find the file anywhere available. Is it possible to manually update this?
Seems that the lower version software is incompatible with my new iPhone running IOS10, would love to update to the most recent version...
Here is my info:
Maybe the A9 can't see the internet. A few things to try:
Try connecting it using the LAN cable
If it is using DHCP, give it a fixed IP address using the router and setting DHCP manually.
Power cycle router and A9
See if you have any firewall blocking the A9 access to the internet. The A9 respond to the Ping command, see if yours does from a PC.
I don't know if a manual file is available to upload. If you get one you can use either the B&O App or a web browser and go direct to the webpage of the A9 from there.
Good luck, Gavin
Does anyone know where I can download the 3512 version to manually update the firmware? Currently the version show on my Beoplay A9 shows 2987 and when I go to update product version it says that it is up to date?
