hi all
i am trying to connect my master 7000 to my existing ML system, do I need to connect the 1611 to the master 7000 by both power link and audio 7 pin? Just the powerlink does not seem to work
andy
You'll need the Aux/datalink cable for that - the PL is optional.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Ah cheers.... Steve!!!!!!!! I think I need to visit sounds heavenly then ))
Powerlink in general is not optional. It can make a difference. I was trying it some time ago but have unfortunately forgotten which one it was. I think when speakers are connected to the TV you need powerlink, if they are connected to the Beomaster you don't need it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Kai
You only need PL, if you want to be able to fire up the speakers/tv with a direct touch on the connected audio device.
Since I don't want/need that, I let it away - I use the remote, and I hardly ever touch the audio system (apart from putting in a CD once in a while.
It has been so for 15 years now.
Try both and see, what fits you best.
Hi Millemissen,
Yes, I agree. I usually suggest using both Powerlink and Datalink/Aux Link cables so that it works every time, but just Datalink/Aux Link is fine for most setups:-
Datalink/Aux Link compatible cable
Powerlink compatible cable
Kind regards, Steve.
