Hello All

I currently have a Beovision 7-55 in my main room providing SD dist to a BV3 and BV6-26

With the move to my Beosound Moment and the NL/ML convertor I will more than likely over some time move to more NL than ML devices as i love the concept and possibilities.

Few questions, if i change the TV;s in link rooms to NL devices they dont accept Link Video which is fine as i prob should move away from this anyway at some point.

My question is what is the best way for this, my main room has Bluray, Apple TV and SKY HD, woudl the best solution be a Matrix on the BV7 or perhaps some form of hdmi splitter with Baluns.

If I went for the splitter i suppose i would need 4way splitters that also carry IR or at least the Balun should carry IR.

the way i figure i will need baluns anyway no matter which method i went for.

Thouhgts (not about the moment)

Eclipse 65
V1-32
Beosound M5
Essence MK2
BLI

prices for HD matrices are really dropping now

also with recent developments no need to stick with altona HD switchers etc

Cyp make a single source HDBT sending kit over cat 5 to up to 4 displays (I believe) but for just a few hundred more you can have a 4x4 matrix with 4 HD values (also with 2additional mirrored hdmi out)

Glad to hear that the prices of the HD matrices are dropping. The Atlona ones were seriously overpriced (not even mentioning the charging of the activation code for each source. Unacceptable!)

Be careful to make sure you have puc control through the matrix. That's what Atlona is the b&o recommendation.

our solution works with any puc code as the matrix in question can learn any code

it seems someone at Struer got tAken out for a nice expensive lunch from someone at Atlona

why couldn't Struer write puc codes for other brands?

Ridiculous

I'm not disagreeing.

The Atlona is ridiculous.

What solution do you speak of.

Time for some research!

Will this work with the BV7-55 ?

I know I would need to ditch the BV3 & 6 for newer TV's that at least have HDMI.

beovision 3 first maybe a nice V1-40

you will still need the activation code for 7-55 or v1 in order for all or codes to be sent out of one single puc socket

bvis 11/avant 55 75 85 do not need activation code for this

HI all

just chatting to a dealer who informs me the activation key for the HDMI Matrix is actually FOC these days.

the 8x8 matrix is overkill and the 4x4 is £3200 which is the cost of a second sky box for 64 months so not worth it.

I think i will loose my Link TV in my kitchen and just buy a splitter for the HDMI out of my Sky and Apple TV box.

No need to spend a fortune on things that wont offer me anything.

What exactly have you been quoted for that amounts to £3200? Do you have a breakdown of costs as this seems little on the high side Unsure
