I have a Beovision 11 55inch bought in 2014 and suddenly a greeny/blue line has appeared from top to bottom on the screen about a 1/4 of the way in from the left. Has anyone else seen or heard of this issue ?

Hi Claretludo, welcome to beoworld.

I've not seen this issue on a Beovision, but I've seen it plenty of times on laptop LCD screens and replacing the LCD panel usually resolves the issue. Whatever the cause it's not going to be something you can fix yourself so just call your dealer, explain the symptoms, and ask them to book an service engineer visit.

Kind Regards,

Martin.

SHEFFIELD:

Faulty panel unfortunately...

I am guessing that this particular failure will be dealt with under guarantee by B&O. Just out of interest, if a TV panel fails out of guarantee, how easy is it to change the panel? If you were miles from a dealership would it be feasible to swap the panel for an equivalent?

(I have at the back of my mind the Panasonic plasma panels that I think went into the BV5 more or less unaltered from the Panasonic original.)

To physically change the panel is not that difficult. I watched a B&O Technician rip the BV10 I hade before, into pieces including the panel, when I had a problem.

However, I do not think it is easy to get a "naked" panel, and do all the calibrations right.
