I just received the new firmware update, but now I am experiencing a huge audio delay on sources connected through the line-in. It's almost impossible to use my Beolab 8000 for TV Sound now (we are talking about 2 seconds)...

I also tried Connection via Bluetooth, but it's the same issue.

Does anyone have the same experience?

Hi andyace75,

Yes, we are finding that all audio products with the new multi-room software are experiencing this audio delay, including Beosound Moment, Essence mk.2 and Beoplay A9.

I'm currently working on a solution for this (I have a prototype device on test in the workshop at the moment).  If you would like to be kept updated on progress, please get in touch at www.soundsheavenly.com as I hope to have this ready in the next few weeks (and I may not get a chance to keep the Beoworld thread up to date!)

Kind regards, Steve.

Make sure the delay set in the Beovision is the same as set in the NL/ML Converter.

For the Beovision you need to go into the service menu.

Steve,

Is there already a solution for this. I am facing the same problem (loewe tv on the line in ). At this moment i rerouted the loewe tv and the beosound moment towards an almando power link switch to prevent the problem .

I rather use the line in form the beosound moment because then i can connect my speakers (BL18) wisa en i only have one volume control.

Regards Edwin

Hi Edwin,

I am working on a less expensive alternative to the Almando powerlink switch - if this is of interest please contact me and I will be happy to let you know more details shortly.

If you wish to use the Aux sockets on the Beosound Moment for the TV inputs, I understand that most of the lip-sync delay can be removed by reducing the "Network Delay" setting on the Moment to the minimum setting of 50mS.  It is not possible to completely remove the delay without using an external switching box.

Please feel free to ask if you need any further help.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve,

I have a almando switch (used it with the encore). I bought the moment because there is a rca input (encore was a digital line in with a lot of audio delay).

Yesterday i did a factory reset and the update and after that i connected my loewe tv on the rca. The audio delay was not as much and i could fixed it with the lyp sync settings in my tv (loewe compose). I used a correction of 60ms.

So all work fine now without the almando powerswitch. Tv is now on the line in and that activates when the tv is set on.

Thanks for your reply.
