Id go the A2 if i were you, you can chuck it around and if you're on the grass it can lay on its side etc and is easier to place wherever.
Go take a listen and see which one you prefer.
The BL15 works better if its placed down low and against a wall in a room if listening inside.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
I went for A2, and happy with that. The sound is amazing and a good bass concidering the thin layout. Sometimes I feel a Beolit 15 would have been great to have, but the A2 is more versatile and handy to bring along.
I faced the same dilemma, same issues. Liked the colors and portability/weight of the A2, and it did sound great. But (there's always a but right?), one place I wanted to use it was out by the hot tub, and with the pump and jets and being outside the ability to play louder and deeper was important, more so than throw it in a beach bag portability so it was the Beolit 15 that won out.
Really enjoy it though, but I don't think one could go wrong with either.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
My wife takes her A2 black and copper everywhere. She really really enjoys it, and it continues to surprise me with how much punch it has.
+1☺
BeoGreg:....I thought the A2 had too much distorsion at high volume (not enough bass) so waited for Beolit 15. I immediatly thought Beolit 15 had too much bass and lowered the bass setup on Spotify....
+2. Still very happy with A2.

BeoBoy68:You should buy my second BeoLit 12 white edition Allways to sale
Aussie Michael: Beoboy. Even the dealer says to put the bl15 low that's why I made that comment. He did the test and i agreed.
BeoGreg:A 2nd generation (with bluetooth) Beolit 12 would have been enough for me. I need bluetooth (integrated).
With respect to the Beolit 15s bass, I've also found that if put too near a boundary like a wall it can get bass heavy, but with more free space it sounds a lot better. Also sounds better the louder you play it it seems. Still just an amazing little box, as is the A2. I loved the size and colors of the A2 but for my needs the 15 was better suited.
Aussie Michael: Now black copper bl15 and bl18 💪🏻
BeoBoy68:The Beolit 12 can be use as Bluetooth speaker. You can transform the BeoLit 12 with a mini USB Bluetooth dongle.

I just love mine, this is one of my best B&O buys.. Really nice sound coming out of this little box, and the battery just last and last (at moderate volumes )
