Hello,

Could anyone tell me the name/number of the cartridge for the Garrard turntable used in the 1967 Beomaster 900 RG de luxe?  Trying to source a new stylus.  Many thanks. Susan

Sorry - should have said, the turntable is a Garrard AT60.

A Garrard deck in a Beomaster 900RG ?
I'm sure, that's not standard and I'm almost sure that you are not looking for B&O related advice, really.
Can we have a photo please ?

Hi Martin
Thanks for replying.  I don't have a photo at the moment but the following (though it relates to the compact rather than the delux) info shows that Garrard turntables were one of two choices when buying a B&O RG:

Radiogram Beomaster 900 RG Compact included a record player - either a B&O or Garrard auto-changer - within the combined unit.

The info is taken from the following page on the Beoworld website:
We also have all the original sales documentation to substantiate this.
Thanks and best wishes
Susan

Learning every day. Laughing
The RG model is not common in Denmark so I haven't seen more than a few myself.
A photo would still be nice.

Oh yes, please photos, overall and details.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

On the vinylengine website, a member states that the cartridge is a Shure M44-7 and can be used with a stylus N44-7 (conical) or a N44-E (eliptical diamond).  The Garrard turntables can be found on www.vinylengine.com.  A picture would be useful as there is a Garrard AT-6 (not AT-60) in MkI and II versions, as well as a 'model 60'.  However, some members clearly have an AT-60.

What cartridge is currently on there?  Vinylengine has a comprehensive cartridge/stylus database at http://www.vinylengine.com/cartridge_database.php

Dave.

Hi Martin

The RG is being stored at my parent's house at the moment so can't take pictures but I bought it from ebay so am posting the seller's pictures here.

Thanks Dave - very much appreciate your help.  I'll do a bit more research and take a look at the cartridge when next at my parents.

Many thanks, Susan
