PUC Cable

Hi

I saw a post here recently about the PUC cable and the little "stickem" that B&O use to hold them in place

Was wondering do those little stickems (double sided small tape things) just come with PUC cables or can you get them?

I recently swapped my Foxtel box for the latest foxtel box and although my Remote One works with the box it has trouble powering on so i need to reposition the IR over the box.

I tried tape but that looks ordinary and i can't get it right. I asked the Shop and they said super glue (hmmm), but id rather try those little pieces of double sided tape that the installer used as i didnt have an issue with it.

But isn't the issue that you cant cover the sensor with something solid so it wont see the IR?

I really can recommend those little plastic caps from STB.
It is a little case that is surrounded with special glue where you put in the existing IR blaster.
Will stay in place for ever...

Looks to be the solution, but I only need one.

Thanks . Someone did mention these, however how does it work if it the STB covers the whole IR sensor?

I had the issue originally where the IR cable end has to be off-centre to the IR sensor of your equipment.

May i ask what equipment you use the STB stickems for?

Before you put this cap on you need to know the exact position where the IR blaster is working correctly.
Then you lay the IR blaster into the STB cap and put it on this location. I use it e.g. on an Apple TV.

To come back to your initial question:
All B&O IR blasters come with a little double-sided tape attached to the front.
If it is not sticky enough anymore and you don't want to use another method for attaching you could try to replace this adhesive.

It is called "adhesive transfer tape" and is basically the same that holds your smartphones touchscreen in place. 
Transparent and without a carrier layer.
