I'm just installing some Beolab 9's, and currently have them set on the "corner" setting. Based upon this picture is this correct? Sorry about the thumb!!!

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Based on the placement of the left one - which is the only one, I can see - it's ok.

I would do so too.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Hey Chris, I hope you enjoy your BL9's as much as I enjoy mine.

See how they sound to you and try the other settings too.  Your ears will decide what is best for you.  They are probably enough into the corner to call them 'corner' but try others too - it's only a flick of a switch.  Don't forget to adjust all of the other speaker settings too for distance etc.  I found a BL2 worked wonders for films and music in my system.

Dave.

It never does.

I always considered these speakers as very much the junior to the 5's, and in terms of sheer power I guess they are. But the to the amateur that I am, I see these as the first professional quality speakers I've ever bought.

The 8000's they replace, merely made things louder in comparison. The increase in quality is hard to explain, but considering what a bargain they've become they are easily one of my best purchases. If the 20's are better still and I believe they are, sell the kids and get some.

The bass when watching films is ridiculous, and if I added a Beolab 2, the doors would fall off. What I like though is putting on Spotify/Apple music with picture mute, and be able to listen to the detail I've never heard, and at a lower volume. With the 8000's I'd have played at say volume 55-60 to get a pleasant effect, but with the 9's at about volume 37-41. Less, but more.

I'm still not convinced I should leave the 7-6 on when listening to music, or just let the 9's get on with their job! I've tried listening to CDs and then comparing the track to what can be found on streaming, but unless I can guarantee its exactly the same track it's hard to make up my mind. I'm sure I can hear more tone, but I'm also sure I want to hear a difference.

The wife said she definitely can, and we should now buy a Beosound 9000 immediately [:\'(]
