Wondering the proper way to replace the belt on a 8002.  The Manual does not have a section on it.

from the pics below it looks like I might be able to slip it under that photo detector at the left end of the screw gear which would be easier than popping the gear out.

The threaded shaft ends in a 4-winged interrupter, that goes in between the opto elements.
Rotate the threaded shaft so that an opening of the opto interrupter is upwards.
Unlatch the opto board (small latch at one side) and pull (slide) it upwards.
The lower opto element will then pass through the opening in the interrupter and the small board will
swing aside in its cable.

Martin.

Thanks Dillen,  saves me from mucking it all up doing things the hard way.

So no screws to remove at all?  Did not see that latch, will have to look a bit closer.  Thanks again!

No screws.
The latch sits on the side closest to the servomotor.

Oops sorry!   Did not mean to break rules.   I got it together but have one issue which I will post in new thread.

I took your advice.   I am now officially Silver, no longer a bottom feeding bronze :)

Do you go by Martin or Dillen?  Or is your name Martin Dillen

Thanks, we appreciate your support !

My name is Martin.
And my nickname here is Dillen with an e.
It's not a name but both a danish translation of "frenzy" and a short (nick-)name for the crocodile.
