Please wait for Räuber to answer that - he had one with his BV7 and NL setup.
He was not happy with it, though.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
I did one two days ago. Something to keep in mind is that the BeoRemote One requires the navi control -- like the most recent Beo4. If you've been using a non-nave Beo4, you need to set your BeoSystem 3 to navi remote control. You do this by using your Beo4 to navigate into the BeoSystem 3 system menu. Look for the setting for remote control. Highlight the option for the navi control. HOWEVER, you cannot use your non-navi Beo4 to select that option by pressing the GO button. That will result in an "impossible" error. Once the navi setting is highlighted, you must use the BeoRemote One to select it.
On the BeoRemote One you must go into LIST/SETTINGS/ADVANCED/PRODUCTS/SHOW. Then select Beo4 AV if you have a music system connected to your BeoSystem 3, or select Beo4 VIDEO if you have just the BeoSystem 3 without a music system.
I find the BeoRemote One to feel quite different from the Beo4. I miss the tactile feel of the Beo4 buttons. The guy at B&O tech support assured me that I would love it once I got used to it. He suggested that I use the BeoRemote One exclusively for a week to get the feel of it. I'm staying open-minded and will give it a try. I felt the same way about the Beo5/Beo6 until I forced myself to use the Beo6 exclusively. Then, I found myself loving the Beo6.
Also, the BeoRemote One needs to be customized to your use. For example, you can select which sources you want to appear, assign sources to specific buttons, and can rename the sources to fit what works for you. You really need to inspect the settings on this. For example, I found that the factory setting for the TV button was set to DTV. I had to change that so that TV really corresponded with the TV source -- which is what I use.
Also, there is some great customization for home automation settings by revealing the sources for LIGHT and CONTROL. I counted over 20 total controls under LIGHT and CONTROL that can be renamed to specify light settings and other home automation functions.
