Hi All,
A really simple question on replacing the belt in my Beogram 5000... Just it just loop around the flywheel base and then around the post on the motor in the left hand corner?
Hopefully that makes sense?
Regards,
Tony
Right: around flywheel and then motor pulley
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Hi,
When you say 'motor pulley' do you just mean the vertical bit sticking up from the motor?
ta,
.
This one
Ta, that's exactly where I put the new belt I bought.
I asked this simple question, as the people who I bought the belt of think I might have installed it incorrectly... The records now play at hyper warp speed. The belt is quite a bit 'shorter' than the one that came off.
Ta,
Get the right belt from member Dillen on this forum
Yeah, I think I'll do that, need to get me money back first.
hello all,
would like to publicly thank Dillen for sorting me out with the correct belt, so
thanks Dillen

Thought it might be an idea to say where I bought the first belt from. It from eBay from these people:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/ch5oh?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
The item was:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400870313700?_trksid=p2060353.m2748.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I see they have many items listed. Basically, they sent a belt that didn't fit and then suggested I hadn't installed it correctly. I pointed out the length of the original was very different and requested a refund. They then admitted they had just bought (following my conversation) a Beogram 5000 to see what belt it required.
I gave neutral feedback as I thought this was appropriate due to wrong item and slow communications, you can see their response here:

Which seems standard, lol
