BeoPlay now on sale at Richer Sounds.

Does this mean that B&O have been accepted by so-called audiophiles, is it part of a downward spiral, or both?

Was in a Cosco Store awhile back and they had the Beoplay A2 for £240. Was tempting.

The more they sell the better...

I agree, but in Australia, the prices are being slaughtered... online & actual stores are 20-30% cheaper than B&O stores..

Not sure if its damaging the brand or exposing it better??

Not sure about t the brand, but it is hurting the independent B&O dealer.

Jeff

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

My local Richer Sounds are selling H6s for £80 less than the B&O shop 200 yards away. This posed an ethical dilemma for me as the retail shop have provided excellent service and I have a good relationship with the staff there, even though I have purchased almost nothing new from them. I would hate to see them go out of business.

Maybe there is some sort of strategy at work here, iin the hope that the high volume highly discounted BeoPlay products will eventually result in buyers upgrading to full B&O systems at a B&O dealership.

Will your local dealer not match the richer sounds price? Give them the dilemma.

We did have a discussion along those lines and came to a mutually agreeable solution!

Think you are right about the strategy.

However ,my friend, a high level Custom Installer tells me he has a direct account now for all B&O products not just Play.

So where does that leave the independent B&O store.
