Hi All

I have purchased a BL2000 for my bedroom, and have connected it via a Beolink Converter 1611 to my BC2300 in my office...

All works well, and I can at a later point switch on the BL2000 and "listen in" on the already turned on BC2300 in the office.. This is all good..

But when I press "play" again on the BL2000 to switch it of in the bedroom, then the BC2300 also switches off ? According to the manual, a 2 sec press is needed to switch off the "main room" BC2300..

Could this be an "old BC2300 using converter" box issue ?

When I am using my Ouverture from my living room, it works..

The BL2000 is on Opt.6 and BC2300 in Opt.1

The reason the BC2300 is in the office and the Ouverture in the livingroom, is that when I connect the BC2300 to my BL7.1 speaker in the living room, a high pitch noice is heard in the speaker, this doesn't happen with the Ouverture using the same PL cable... I have tried another BC2300 and that is also making the noice.

When I use 2 Beolab 4000's in the office with the BC2300, no noise is heard ?

Any ideas ?

Hi Weebyx,

try to connect a powerlink cable from the BC2300 to the powerlink connector of the Beolink Converter 1611 additionally to the Audio AUX cable. This gives the BL Converter the chance to actually "see" whether the BC2300 is switched on locally or not.

Thanks for the advice, but unfortunatelly without any succes, the 2300 still switches off :(

Did you disconnect the BL Converter from the mains and reconnect it after pluging the powerlink cable between?

The BL Converter autoconfigures it self every time after power-on.

You can also try to first switch on the BC 2300 and then reapply the power to the BL Converter.

Yes, switched everything off and on in different combo's the 2300 always switches off.... oh well, I will live with it :), or connect the BL2000 to the Ouverture from the living room instead..

Thanx anyway :)
