HI,

Not posted on here for a while, wondering if anyone could shed some light onto my problem.

I have a AV9000 television coupled via a 1610 beolink converter to a beosystem 4500, running 4 panel loudspeakers, beolab 3000's and beolab 5000's.

Its all been working ok for years, now when watching television, the picture and sound drops out after 15 min aprox, still states its going on the speaker lit displays, i have to press the DVD button on the Beo 4 and the picture comes back with the sound at the level it went off at, but straight away, the sound level drops to level 24 and stays there.

I can put the volume up again, but  the telly will drop out again after this time only less than 1 min.

I have also since found out wne playing a CD the same issue occurs, but taking a lot longer to happen, i may get 45 min out of a Cd before it cuts the sound, i then have to hit the CD button again and the sound comes back, and then also drops to volume level 24, which i can turn bac up again after.

This issue happens no matter what source i'm playing, i'm guessing the fault lies in the control centre part of the AV9000, the sound processor.

Looked on ebay for another Av9000, been and looked at one, and its complete junk, i'm guessing most now are unless very well looked after are total scrap due to the age of them.

Has anyone on here had this problem and what fixed it?

I could live without the telly, but the fault affects all parts of my beosystem now.

regards<
Phil

No idea about the issue, but I would get an Avant 32 DVD (very cheap on ebay...) and maybe a Beolink 1611 if needed (the 1610 might work).

You get a bigger 16:9 picture and integrated DVD.

Or a Beovision 3-32, if you like the looks (I do).
