First, listen to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6X5Z3GdLnt4&feature=youtu.be .

My setup are as follows: Beovision 7-40, Beolab 9, Beolab 7-4, Beolab 2, Beolab 3. Suddenly, and really out of the blue my 7-4 is making this sound. Sometimes the noise is "moving up", sometimes "moving down". I disconnected the 7-4 and used beolab 9 as center - no noise. Same cable. Any suggestions?

Sounds horrible doesn't it?

Unplug everything then put it all back on again.  See if a TV reset fixes it.  Probably not as I suspect a BL7.4 failure if the cable is OK and has been up to now.  Sounds like an internal component failure.

Another alternative is interference from something else.  Has anything else new been used or another electrical component moved nearer to it recently?

Have you tried it in an alternative PL outlet?

Dave.

Thank you for quick response Dave!
I have talked to B&O here in Norway. After hearing the sound they are 99,9 % sure that it is a speakerfailure. Warranty coverage thankfully.
As relatively new B&O-user, I must say that I'm a bit surprised and disappointed by this. Especially as everything has stood still for 2 years.
Nothing has been changed or moved. For your information I have already tried to reset - but nothing. Thanks again for your reply . My guy
at B&O had never heard this sound before, so I am really dying to know what caused this.

Thanks!

Hi Ketil,

is it under warranty?  B&O may pay for the repair depending on what the problem is.  I wish you luck.  I have the same speaker set-up as you but with the BV7_55 and I love it.

Dave.
