Hi all, thanks for supporting a great forum, this place has helped me so much over the last few weeks, but I have one question I'm hoping someone will help me with.
I recently purchased a B&O ouverture that had issues with the cd player not working, when i collected the ouverture and powered it up the cd player worked but the door and cd loading mechanism didn't. So I took it apart and found the 2 rubber belts had perished and snapped. So I ordered new ones and replaced them on the weekend, doors and cd mechanism work now, but I have one earth strap I can not remember where it goes, anyone out there know?
oh by the way the cd doesn't read anymore, It seems the cd laser doesnt move to the outer track (used the test program), any ideas? maybe the missing earth strap might help?

Hi
These wire go from main bord to cd door mechanism board. ( 99% )
U need a new laser head for cd to work as it should....just head not complete mechanism.
Regards
Thanks for that, I'll put it back. On a side note the CD is now playing, had to give it helping hand by spinning it by hand, but now seems to be working fine, weird?

Yes, it goes from the Door module, innermost centerscrew, there is a small 1x1cm kopperplate, you can't miss it, it then goeas backwards to the 2'nd assembly screw that holding the trafo/tuner part into place, from the right, when looking at the assembled unit from behind.
The laser still needs changing, reading/no-reading and working sometimes, are normal signs of a dead cdm12.4 laser. It's easy to change, as long as it is ther vertical cd-unit, and not the arch type..
