Cassette Deck makes 'click' repeatedly

Hi again!

Still exploring my ' new' Beocenter 2000, one of the speakers that didm' t make any sound but is giving noise by now (!). But the tap deck make a sound like ' click', when I do press any button (play, fast forward, backwards), it just repeats to sound like ' click' … ' click' … etc. The wheels don' t move. Has anyone an idea about what it possibly can be? (not looking forward to changing the plastic thing but when I have to…)

Any answer that helps is very welcome!
