I am having some issues with one on my BC2300's, the problem is that when disconnecting the mains power, the door motor tries to close the doors even more. It actually turns the big white gear wheel almost a quarter of a full turn, and this has caused the "plastic stop thingy" that should limit this, to have broken off.
When running with mains power on, everything works fine, the open/close contact is doing it's job.
It is almost as there are som current saved up somewhere, that is released when disconnecting mains power. I did test if it was the springs of the door wire that was pulling, but it is te motor that is activelly running. Even tried to remove the belt from the motor, and sure enough, the motor is running for a while..
Any ideas ?

But how can this have anything to do with it ?
The problem is only when I completelly disconnect mains power, as in removing the powercord from the unit ? when plugged in, everything works fine, and doors open and close as they should..
I thought it could be something to do with a capasitor or something that is charged, and when the mains power is disconnected, this capasitor discharges through the motor ?
But I will measure the voltage of the battery later, and change it if needed :)
Why this happens? The cpu cannot write into the nv-ram when the battery is dead. So the Status of some Switches is different to reality and the cpu Register set.
A copy of these bits is inside the cpu, so it works under normal condition and the nv-ram is not used. But switched on or off, then there is a difference...

Ok, this makes sense.. But didn't solve my problem, however I took the whole "wire and motor assembly" appart, and cleaned up everything, and changed the belt for the drive, during this, I saw that the angle of the open/closed switch was off, I guess someone tried to fix something at some point, and this wtong angle, off-course also resulted in the gear wheel stopping wrong..
After I put it all back together, I glues the missing piece of the stop-point back on, and adjusted the swith correct, so the wheel now stops 2mm from the stop block. Now when removing mains power, there is a small movement, but is stopped without problems by the glued stop point..
Sometimes I hate do-it-yourself people ;)
