Hello there,

since we last spoke, the family has grown (considerably). I picked up a beautiful Beomaster 3000 a pair of Beovox S60 and yesterday I found a pair of S75 and a Beovox 1900-2 at a bargain price. The speakers are in perfect condition with the stands !

Anyway, the 1900 was sold "as is" and I heard a huge hum when I tried it. It is on both speakers and is affected by the volume and bass/treble buttons. I have noticed that it goes completely away when I slightly touch the standby button. The "T" lights off, the volume lights are still on and I am able to listen to the tape input without any disturbances.

So far, I have checked for cracked solder joints and I have adjusted the idle current (11.9 mV on both side) and the 15V PSU (15V on TP15 and 15.2V on TP16) and nothing has changed.

So I was wondering if you had any ideas !

Best regards.

Bonjour,

Cordialement

Alain
