Hallo,
finally, I found the solution, why the CD-player in my Beogram CD6500 starts only few times, but most of the time not. This is so weird!
In nearly every post, it's said to change C2103. If it solves the problem - ok. But if you come to the conclusion that the Laser might be not ok, check the movability of the lens. It should move easily up and down like a speaker coil. I discovered on my deck, that the lens stuck right where it was moved using a pick. I thought of a misalignment of the coil and I decided to unscrew the bearing of the lens. Desoldered the flex-cable and loosened the one screw. Very easy! Inside I found metal dust or swarf around the gap. I could remove that using modeling clay. reassembled and soldered again, and: tada! WORKING!
The swarf came from the magnet itself, which decomposed at the edges. I tried to take pictures before and after cleaning.

I think, these are neodym magnets. They can "corrode" very fast.
I wonder if painting some clear lacquer or nail polish on the magnet would help seal it from further deterioration?

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
