I had an invitation from my local B&O shop here in Germany to come in any time on Friday or Saturday for a presentation of the new Play range. Although I had already been in a couple of weeks ago, I called in again to enter the prize draw for a Beolit 12 ( up to now no luck with the Beoworld one, have to wait and see how I did this time)
I think my wife may be lucky enough to get an A8 for her next birthday!
I was given a B&O Play iPhone cover which is actually pretty good.

Hi Guys YES My best friend & myself were given ours by our B&O dealer the other week whilst we were playing our iPhones through that sexy cute lil box called the BeoLit 12!
I know that they are given away at the PLAY days so definitely ask your dealers guys!!! Im saving up for the leather DOLCE&GABBANA case as Im in love with my iPhone :)

Yes I will bro! I've taken good care of mine, whereas my friend was moaning to me at th gym the other day that his was wearing out on the edges hmmm! Nice, soft rubbery material construction of the case. You're welcome to mine Evan, but im sure the B&O dealers in the US have new ones if you ask them.
It was very kind of our dealer giving us them, a nice way to end a magical experience in the showroom :) But i will be back there soon to pick up an A8airplay with both orange & yellow speaker covers :)

The BeoLit12 sounded great when we were using Airplay from the 4S the other week. Nice bass and a real clear sound without the compressed sound. High hopes for the BeoPlay A8!
I'm sure you will be more than pleased with the A8! Sonically, it is identical to the BS8. I have heard the BS8 and it is astonishing!
I know the old iPods (now called the 'Classic' variety I think) had very respectable Wolfson DACs and were brilliant sounding - I had (and still do actually!) a 5th gen video 60GB. I am curious to know what the iPhones have now-a-days.
Evan, I must say that socially the iPhone 4S just knocks spots off my former iPods - it's super and as mentioned, worked really great with the BeoLit 12. Just bought the EQ10 app which gives me a graphic equaliser too. Yes the BS8 really came alive with the iPhone 4S of mine the other week (sounded lifeless with my iPod Nano 6th generation before). The design of that BS8 is iconic - I really really love it - for me, it will go down as a true B&O piece of design!
I don't use my iPhone for listening as it is only 8GB and wouldn't hold many songs. I use a 4th generation iPod touch 64GB for music playback. The iPod has definitely lost precedent over my BeoGram 4500CD lately though. I plan on doing a full service on it this summer which will only widen the gap, I'm sure.
But, with your glowing recommendation, I'm going to give the iPhone a listen.
Just wondering if anyone was given one of these and don't want it? Or got two of them...
I asked my dealer in Australia about one and he said they weren't available here.
