B&O trading as EGI Audio-Visual in Oz?

Just received a refund from the local B&O store here for a store credit they'd forgotten about. I notice the payee on my bank statement is EGI Audio-Visual.

From a company lookup, B&O have been registered under this name in Australia since May this year.

I'm just curious - anyone know why this is the case and whether EGI is an umbrella company for more than just B&O? Is the name EGI peculiar to Australia?

Around May was when B&O sold the franchise of their stores to a luxury store outlet company than had luxury watch outlet stores in places like Crown's Casino Complex in Melbourne.

There was AFR article on the sale and a thread here around that time.

From memory the new owners' trading name was different.

Ah, Thanks. I've seen the news reports now - EGI seems to be 'Emerald Group Investments' who run watch shops (as you say) that I've never heard of. B&O in Oz and NZ are run by them.

They are LK Boutiques here in Melb :-)
