It's a rare model, but 549 surely seems overpriced to me... Is it?
Hard to compare since I can't find other auctions of this model.

On the one hand they are getting rarer, it is also in very good condition.
However, that being said it has been on and off eBay for a long time now. I think if it was priced right it would have gone by now. Still, someone might be prepared to pay, especially as condition is so important with vintage B&O.
