I wouldn't have thought it possible, but sometimes these guys do surprice me ;-))

Will this upgrade be also avalaible for any "old" Beolit 15 or Beaplay A2 ?
I was also hoping that this update would include the A9 speaker, but maybe later

The A9 is a full Hifi system. It will not get this upgrade ever.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Well, that's one way to try and boost BeoPlay sales.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

But it will really cool, one on each side hanging on the wall in the living room
Would like to order a Beolit 15 but not one color is available yet in the online store....

...and makes much easier, if you divorce.
I still wonder, how they do it?
I am not aware of the use of bluetooth for two seperate, simultaniously streamed channels.

With some women maybe, my wife would wind up with both of my Beolits and both of my dangly bits no doubt.
It would make a great stereo for either a rich dorm room kid, or a single that moved apartments frequently, or traveled a lot. Grab one of them for a travel/road speaker, then have stereo when you're home.

rfrichg: Millemissen: More Bluetooth platforms are supporting this, Nokia had a Bluetooth speaker which could the same for more than 2-3 years ago.But you are not sending more than one stream, then the first speaker will receive the stream an repeat it to the one which has been paired with the first one. Then one is playing left and the other right, will be exciting to hear A2 and Beolit 15 which has True360 I'm not sure this will work super on a left only signal, if that's how it is implemented.
Millemissen:
That's exactly how the technology works. It pairs to one then sends the signal through that pairing to the other.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

They promise:
'Minimal audio coding delay and latency.'
I found an interesting paper on this issue (an more) - for those, who want to dig deeper:

Duels:I would imagine you would want two identical speakers to get the benefit of shoos stereo sound Chris.
I even suspect he was more likely interested whether he can "join" them and put in different places. Like you said, "stereo" from two different speakers does not make sense.
Btw, cool feature B&O. Can work also for friends joining their A2s or Beolits in a party. <3
"Bring your own sound channel" ;)

I don't think it will support more than 2.0 and my guess are that they are using the aptX technology which offers different encoding and decoding depending on the propose. The two speaker solution is not low latency so properly not good enough for TV, and it will not be the as good as CD quality either as far as I know (but my guess is that you can't hear the different on speakers of this size), correct me if i'm wrong :-)
BeoBoy68:For your information: Devialet Phantom support 24 speakers together.

Stop advertising your dodgy speakers in posts

If it uses aptx then does the stereomode work with Apple products?
@Martin
do you mean via bluetooth from Apple prods?
I don't see why it shouldn't.
To me the blutooth is for streaming from your device
The Wireless stereo pairing would rather be done through the wisa technology ... but it's only my feeling
I would not count on that!
it would mean, that every A2/BeoLit15 should have a WiSA transmitter and a receiver built in - not very likely.
(If so they would also work as speakers in a 'normal' WiSA setup, which is even less likely).
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
